Weekend Offender in support of CALM

⚠️ This video contains content that addresses themes of depression and suicide, which may be distressing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.

This year marks 20 years of Weekend Offender.

20 years creating collections that echo the spirit of the weekend, and the unapologetic attitude of those who count down every minute until Friday night.

20 years is a long time - we’ve lost friends along the way, struggled with demons of our own. The subject of men’s mental health has always felt like an unacknowledged undercurrent in the communities from which we draw so much inspiration - from the local pubs to the football terraces, from underground gigs to the back alleys and beyond.

We invited WO Ambassador, Oban Elliott, into our studio earlier this year and he opened up about losing his father at a young age. It sparked a need in us to do more, say more about a topic which impacts so many…

…and so, this year also marks the start of our support for suicide prevention charity; Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

One in five of us will have suicidal thoughts in our life. CALM exist to help people end their misery, not their lives, and they do it in such an accessible way that we couldn’t help but be drawn to them.

We’re starting with a video.

It’s a video that we know will feel familiar to many - those feelings you can’t sit with, or walk off. Feeling too much, and not enough at the same time.

We want you to know it’s okay to be struggling. We want you to talk. We want you to reach out to that mate who needs it. F*ck the stigma.

The last 20 years have been a wild ride and we’re forever grateful for the support of our customers. If you’re feeling sh*t, we’re right there with you. There’s always a reason to stay.

Here’s to the next 20 years.
