European Union VAT Changes
Update: 20th February 2023
We're pleased to announce that orders now placed for shipment to European Union (EU) countries will be sent using Import One Stop Shop (IOSS). This means VAT rates can be applied to an order and paid during checkout, at the local tax rate of the EU country being shipped to. No Additional tax charges will need to be paid by the customer on delivery.
To allow us to send EU orders using IOSS, the maximum value of goods cannot exceed €150 (excluding shipping and taxes). Any order(s) placed where the goods total exceeds the €150 threshold may be subject to additional taxes and customs charges when the goods enter an EU country. See below for more details*

On 1st July 2021, significant EU changes were made to the rules on VAT and the duty treatment of goods sold and shipped to customers in the European Union (EU).
Orders placed for shipment to EU countries will be sent using Import One Stop Shop (IOSS), this means that VAT will now be automatically collected at point of sale during checkout. To allow us to send EU orders using IOSS, the maximum value of goods cannot exceed €150 (excluding shipping and taxes). VAT will be collected in the customer’s local VAT rate. These new rules have been introduced to facilitate fair EU cross-border trading and to ensure that local rate VAT is paid upfront to avoid any surprise tax fees charged to customers upon delivery. Customer benefits of the new EU VAT rules include:
▪ No surprise tax
EU customers avoid paying any surprise tax fees upon delivery, where the maximum value of goods is equal to or less than €150.
▪ Hassle-free transactions
Customers will not have to go through another procedure to pay the VAT fees when their goods enter the EU.
▪ Faster delivery
Goods will pass through customs quicker, rather than being held up waiting for additional fees to be paid.
*Orders over €150.00
Any order(s) placed where the goods total exceeds the €150 threshold may be subject to additional taxes and customs charges when the goods enter an EU country. In this case, local VAT cannot be collected during checkout and it is likely this charge will be required from the customer when the goods enter the country. If additional charges are due, the customer will be contacted to arrange payment before receipt of their goods. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
PLEASE NOTE: For peace of mind, we would recommend checking with your local border/customs agencies before ordering so you’re fully aware of any possible taxes, duties or custom import charges that your goods may face when entering an EU country.
